HOW TO MAKE MOMENTS MATTER

BE MAGNANIMOUS

BE MAGNANIMOUS

Be magnanimous when you present!

Think about the best experiences – that incredible meal, a truly helpful interaction, feeling genuinely seen. Often, they hinge on how others treat us. The same holds true when YOU step up to present. Your audience isn't just there to listen; they're hoping to leave better than when they arrived.

What if your presentations were a genuine act of service? Imagine your audience walking away with fresh insights, feeling lighter, equipped with answers, and truly valued. That's the power you hold as a presenter.

Are you adding stories that resonate? Sharing actionable wisdom? Using analogies that stick to their hearts and minds? Your audience deserves more than just information; they deserve an experience that empowers them.

You have the ability to elevate their thinking, solve their challenges, and remind them of their worth. What's one thing you can do in your next presentation to give your audience that gift of possibility? Let's make every presentation a chance to help them achieve more.

You got this, gang!

who is your audience?

who is your audience?

One of the most important parts of any presentation, be it a keynote talk, an internal update, a sales pitch, or introduction, is to put yourself in the shoes of your audience.

It's no longer "know your audience." Now, it's "become your audience."

What are their struggles? If you know their struggles, you can list all of the challenges they are facing and you'll be close to capturing what they are going through. But, if you become the audience, you will not only be able to frame the uphill battles they are facing, but you'll be able to FEEL what they are experiencing.

That is the difference between average speakers and awesome speakers. The average ones know the formulas to list for an audience. The awesome speakers feel the heartaches, the frustrations, the complexities of a situation, the confusion on what to do next, the insight on clarity for what to do next, the second-guessing of the actions they are considering, the joy of achievement, etc.

Doing this shows them that you TRULY get who they are and what they face. We are humans. There is more to us than telling us what to do. When we show them we understand a part, not necessarily all of their psychology, we connect a whole lot more with them and become a better fit for what they are needing or wanting to get out of their lives.

I know this is challenging for some of you to do. Some of us choose to guard our emotions or are afraid of displaying any kind of vulnerabilities. It can be done. It may take more practice, but that's ok (and worth it).

Demonstrating you are actually more like your audience by living through the ups and downs of life, feeling what they are feeling, will have audiences leaning in, wanting to learn more, do more, and connect more with you!

Give it a whirl and let us know how it goes.

building momentum

Typically, the summer months have a couple of paths for presenters. Whether you're a professional speaker, a corporate executive, or a sales professional, you have a lot of variables that can make June-September seem "quiet" or "busy." Among vacations, family time, fewer conferences and events, and a whole bunch of other variables, presenters of all kinds tend to let these months go by without much gusto.

It doesn't have to be that way!

Whether you're looking for more engagements or wanting to improve your speaking skills, we'd love to meet with you and help you find the right groove for all of your presentations.

Dustin and I know the ups and downs of building a speaking business, crafting a resonating message which make audiences want to know more, getting the reps in to take your speaking to the next level, and all of the other nuances it takes to become a better presenter. We can help YOU develop a plan to create better results for your speaking success!

While the summer months may be a good time for rest and reassessing where you are, it's also a fantastic time to work on your presentation skills and your business! Hitting the beginning of the event season in the fall with all kinds of strong momentum would be awesome for so many of you!
